Support
and encouragement are important elements in
developing a new skill. The Centre has, from the outset, offered
post course support to those attending Its courses.
Support
to course members to apply Structured Debriefing and to
develop debriefing skills is available in a number of ways:-
1. A 'Reflective practitioner' approach to skill building
The very nature of the courses and facilitated training encourages
participants
to become 'reflective practitioners'
i.e. to review and draw learning from their experiences.
This helps an individual to manage their own learning and development.
2. Support - Post Course:
Post course support is part of the package. Individuals are
invited to communicate with the Centre for a period to draw
from experienced practitioners.
3. Submission of Debrief Reports:
The methodology includes a simple 'debrief report' system. Submitting
evidence of two debriefings enables the student to share their
experiences
with their trainer and to receive feedback on their work.
4. Course Certificates:
Certificates are awarded on evidence of two Structured Debriefings
having been completed following training.
5. Networking:
The policy of the Centre is to encourage Networking to develop
interest and skills.
It extends a Regional Seminar programme to assist established
practitioners.
This website is an additional way off providing network support.
